Abstract
This study, the second of a set of 2 volumes, examines the technical assistance needed by developing countries in order to conform to technical regulations and measures stipulated by export markets. It reviews procedures followed by selected international standard-setting organizations and international accreditation bodies. It also presents country studies illustrating the technical assistance needs of developing countries in relation to the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade and the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures.
